On April 1, 1933, shortly after Hitler was appointed chancellor, the Nazis staged a boycott of Jewish businesses in Germany. Members of the Storm Troopers (“die Sturmabteilung,” or the “Storm Department,” as I like to think of them) stood around outside of Jewish-owned stores with Gothic-lettered placards reading “Germans! Defend yourselves! Do not buy from Jews!” The boycott itself was a total disaster — most Germans ignored it and just went on with their lives — but it was the beginning of the official persecution of the Jews and totalitarianism in Nazi Germany.

    Someday I hope to do a video, or a write up, of my own journey. I started out, similarly, but have slowly been trying to read up on the Bolsheviks and the Soviet Union. Lately, I easily get tired out, when I read too much, or do videos. I always make it a point to gather together resources to back up my videos, which sometimes seems overwhelming.

    Ever since my brother passed away, in November, I haven’t even really had the motivation to update this site as much as I used to. Hopefully, soon, I will!

    I don’t understand how the original post is propaganda just because the author didn’t mention the events that happened prior to the counter boycott.
