I’d recommend you check out various books by USG official Yale Richmond, USIA boss Fitzhugh Green’s “American Propaganda Abroad” Nancy Snow’s “Propaganda, Inc.” as well as “Total Cold War” by Kenneth Osgood. Additionally, the DOS/ECA (Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs) website has plenty and you can see on their YouTube/social media what they are up to. A major figure worth looking into is Rick Ruth (adst.org has a helpful interview and that is an excellent research resource in general. Use the search engine to find interviews if you are looking for something specific). VOA also has a musician interview playlist worth going over.
