Donetsk, 21 Jan-DAN. Thirteen people were killed as a result of the shelling of the Tekstilshchik microdistrict in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk by Kiev militants. This was announced today by the Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.

“According to preliminary information, at least 13 people were killed and 10 wounded as a result of the monstrous shelling of the market area in the Tekstilshchik microdistrict in Donetsk. The market was attacked on Sunday, when it is most crowded, ” the Head of the DPR noted.

He added that operational services are working on the site, information about the dead and injured continues to be received and clarified, and fragments of weapons are being searched.

“At the moment, information about 25 dead people has been confirmed. At least 20 more people were injured, two of them children are in a state of moderate severity, ” the head of the Republic wrote in his Telegram channel.

He stressed that the victims are provided with the necessary medical care, including seriously injured people.

“Many have penetrating wounds in the area of vital organs, traumatic amputation of limbs. Three of the victims, unfortunately, did not survive,” Pushilin added.

The head of the DPR also clarified that Tekstilshchik was hit from 152-mm and 155-mm artillery pieces, the enemy fired from the Kurakhovsky and Krasnogorovsky directions.
