Correcting some misinformation on Iran (response to a YouTube video)

From the “Selected Works of Mao Tse-Tung” (full text)

One of my YouTube subscriptions just put out a video roasting MAGA Communists for supporting Iran. While I’ve criticized MAGA Communism in the past, I had to respectfully disagree with their take on Iran. The following are just a few links to disprove the Western lies about Iran. I threw in some commentary as well. FYI, they may have deleted it by now, thanks to some of the comments. Although, I appreciate them admitting that they may have a flawed view of Iran, I’m still leaving this post up for the corrections.

My comment:

Comrade, I appreciate your videos, and you know that I don’t care for MAGA Communism. With that said, we’re told countless lies about Iran in the West. I’m not saying that the country is perfect, as no country is. I have seen women not wearing head coverings in Iran in public places. Iran allows sex reassignment surgery. Also, the United States abuses women’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights as a tool for regime change. If that makes me right-wing, so be it. To be honest, I’m closer to being a tankie, but I don’t like to label myself. Thank you!

Highlighted reply:

Hello Comrade

Thanks for your insightful comment. I think that makes a lot of sense! Perhaps I have a flawed view of Iran based on my own limited knowledge. I shall be deleting this video after you’ve seen this comment.

Fact Check: Is Biden Administration Funding Drag Shows in Ecuador?

Last time that I heard about the US promoting LGBTQ+ rights (pinkwashing), in another country, was when Luna Oil suspected that the US was sponsoring a color revolution in Vietnam. I remember a couple of years ago, the US Embassy in Tlsabi, and Open Society Foundations, were pushing gay pride parades in the country of Georgia (the majority of the people are Orthodox Christian). It’s been documented, In the past, that the USAID has partnered with OSF on pushing cultural issues. Ecuador seems to have good relations with Russia and China. Could the US be trying to overthrow Guillermo Lasso?!  🤷🏼‍♀️

Foundations of Leninism VI: The National Question:

The struggle that the Emir of Afghanistan is waging for the independence of Afghanistan is objectively a revolutionary struggle, despite the monarchist views of the Emir and his associates, for it weakens, disintegrates and undermines imperialism; whereas the struggle waged by such “desperate” democrats and “Socialists,” “revolutionaries” and republicans as, for example, Kerensky and Tsereteli, Renaudel and Scheidemann, Chernov and Dan, Henderson and Clynes, during the imperialist war was a reactionary struggle, for its results was the embellishment, the strengthening, the victory, of imperialism.

Socialism in Iran:

Max Parry recommended Socialism’s Ignored Success: Iranian Islamic Socialism, by Ramin Mazaheri, to me, a few months back, but I haven’t read it yet. I have read his articles in the past. I believe that I posted some of them from The Saker, before he froze his website.

Taken from my previous entry on war propaganda:

I knew nothing of Donbass or Palestine until after I started this blog. In fact, I was hesitant to blog about Palestine at first. It wasn’t until after I learned more about Islam that I started looking at the Middle East. Before that, I was into Christopher Hitchens and followed Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller. Charlie Kirk, from TP USA, and Michelle Malkin even followed me on Twitter. Now, I don’t care for any of them.

There’s no moral to my story. I can understand people falling for the war propaganda, though. It’s just frustrating, sometimes
