Personal: Update on health, etc.

As I explained earlier, my health hasn’t been the greatest lately. I now realize that some of it is dehydration, so I’ve been trying to drink more water. That is, if I can stay awake long enough. My sinuses are also acting up. Maybe I’m coming down with a sinus infection

I need to find more plant-based proteins that I can eat, as I haven’t been getting enough protein in my diet. It’s hard because I’m either allergic or intolerant to many foods. I’m lactose intolerant, but as long as I remember to take my lactase enzyme, it’s not too bad. I still can’t tolerate many cheeses, and milk is out of the question. Red meat definitely triggers my migraines. Plant-based meats are out because I can’t stand the taste (don’t drown your food), and there are some that have red dye. I prefer not to die from anaphylaxis. I’m afraid to try nuts for fear that I’ve become allergic to them as well. Dare I go on? /s

Most of my projects are on hold until I can find a new tablet stand that works out. I’ve been working on my iPhone for the most part because I didn’t have any storage left on my iPad Mini. For Christmas (and my birthday in January), I upgraded to an iPad Air with more storage. The mount on my old stand wore out and won’t support this larger iPad Air. I had bought a gooseneck tablet stand, but the arm isn’t long enough for what I need. Unfortunately, I can’t add an extension to the gooseneck. I ordered a new mount to fit on the old stand, so hopefully it works out.

On another note, I think that I’m going to cancel my iPad Mini’s data plan from Verizon instead of transferring it to the new one (I bought the new iPad from Best Buy because the one from Verizon wouldn’t have gotten here until February). Knock on wood, the Wi-Fi has been working well on it. My iPhone, not so much, and I don’t intend to upgrade it.
