I’d like to thank the ICSS organizers for inviting me to talk about our – my and Vladimir L. Bobrov’s — latest book, Trotsky’s Comintern Conspiracy – the Case of Osip Pyatnitsky.

This whole story seems suspicious to me. The overemphasis that the mole was a loner, that he was a criminal, and legally changed his name, etc.
John Williams kept a backpack filled with everything he’d need to go on the run: three pairs of socks; a few hundred dollars cash; makeshift disguises and lock-picking gear; medical supplies, vitamins and high-calorie energy gels; and thumb drives that each held more than 100 gigabytes of encrypted documents, which he would quickly distribute if he were about to be arrested or killed.

Personal: I’ve been caught! 😹

I might just report this to the FBI to see if they can trace the Bitcoin address (if they can seize cryptocurrency, they can trace it). Neither the name nor email came up on an internet search. I tried InfoTracer, but nothing came up there either. It’s spam, but it is concerning that they addressed it to my legal name and mailing address. Although, they could have gotten the information from a data leak. I only use the email for paying bills and have changed any passwords that were reportedly leaked (Apple notifies me).

At least six people including Pakistani paramilitary troops were killed and scores injured on Saturday, in a bombing claimed by separatists in volatile southwestern Balochistan province, officials said.

The BLA is also behind a surge in attacks in the region targeting Chinese workers.
Much of the violence is directed against Chinese infrastructure projects in Pakistan to connect China’s Xinjiang region with the Arabian Sea to reach markets in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and beyond.
Of course, AP makes no mention of Chinese workers being targeted.

My new tablet stand is finally here. Thank goodness, because I sprained my wrist somehow yesterday. It was hurting to hold my phone. It still hurts to type, though. Hopefully, it’s better soon.
