TGIF: “America First” Need Not Be Antiwar

Today’s Trump-inspired “America First” faction cannot be counted on to be consistently noninterventionist and antiwar. That it may lean that way because its chief rival faction is so enthusiastic about foreign adventurism is hardly a firm assurance that it will remain antiwar in the future.

The Tragedy of US Diplomacy Pushing for War, But Never Peace

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

In a brilliant op-ed published in the New York Times, the Quincy Institute’s Trita Parsi explained how China, with help from Iraq, was able to mediate and resolve the deeply-rooted conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia, whereas the United States was in no position to do so after siding with the Saudi kingdom against Iran for decades. The title of Parsi’s article, “The U.S. Is Not an Indispensable Peacemaker,” refers to former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright’s use of the term “indispensable nation” to describe the U.S. role in the post-Cold War world.

American Paranoia: How the First World War triggered a wave of xenophobia and a Red Scare

But then it would be an unusual election, with a three-way fight. When the incumbent, William Howard Taft, defeated Theodore Roosevelt, his predecessor in the White House, for the Republican nomination, Roosevelt ran as a “Progressive”, splitting the Republican vote and allowing Wilson to win the presidency with little more than two-fifths of the popular vote.

A Final Word on “MAGA Communism” and Social Conservatism

Opportunism and foolishness have resulted in the latest example of U.S. decline, the concept of “MAGA Communism.” This absurdity is proof that a true socialist movement is badly needed.

A Final Word on “MAGA Communism” and Social Conservatism

Yes, it’s a thing! At least on Twitter and YouTube! Almost makes me want to open up a Twitter account just for laughs!

There’s so many other philanthrocapitalist organizations that need to be “destroyed” than just Open Society Foundations! Trump is also a war criminal for assassinating Qasem Soleimani, dropping the mother of all bombs on Afghanistan, eased restrictions on drone and air strikes, which resulted in more airstrikes than Obama, and so much more (no healthcare)!

Gross! He gives his sexual partners the same toothbrush!
