President AMLO’s Sixth & Final Informe

Friends:

Today I present to you and to the people and the nation my last government report and I do so more convinced than ever that the best of Mexico is its people, heirs of civilizations that flourished long before the arrival of the European invaders. Thanks to the roots of those pre-Hispanic cultures of that deep Mexico, the Mexicans of today are, in their vast majority, hard-working, supportive and honest. The legacy of good principles that were transmitted from generation to generation and that have not disappeared – despite oppression, classism and racism – is what distinguishes us and places us as a country of virtues and greatness.

Mexico: Presidential Letter to Biden Criticises US for Internal Affairs Meddling! (20.8.2024)

MEXICO CITY, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) — Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, in a letter to his American counterpart Joe Biden, denounced the “interference” of U.S. government agencies in Mexico’s domestic affairs, particularly their financing of an opposition-controlled non-governmental association (NGO).

The parallel government strategy

One of the key maneuvers was the statement by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, recognizing opposition candidate Edmundo González Urrutia as the winner of the elections, openly contradicting the official result given by the only competent body in the matter, the National Electoral Council (CNE), which proclaimed Maduro the winner.

Faced with what appeared to be a repeat of the interim government of former lawmaker Juan Guaidó (who proclaimed himself president in 2019 and was endorsed by Washington, the European Union, and neighboring Latin American countries), Maduro launched a torpedo at the imperial waterline: if the U.S. does not recognize his victory, the energy contracts awarded to U.S. companies will be handed over to companies from the BRICS group, which Venezuela is hoping to join soon.

They need to throw out the Gene Sharp playbook.

As predicted: violence by the far-right Venezuelan opposition breaks out across Caracas

Why is AMLO the only one who has the courage to stand up to the American Empire, regarding Venezuela?

Lula and Petro are weak! Meanwhile, CIA asset Erik Prince is offering to take out Maduro!

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has gone too far in his declaration that Venezuela’s opposition candidate won last weekend’s election, according to Mexico’s president.

Election to the presidency of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela — a Joint Statement from Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico

The governments of Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, we offer our congratulations, and we want to express our solidarity with the people of Venezuela, who attended a mass at the ballot box on July 28, to set your own in future.

The governments of Brazil, Colombia and Mexico, we congratulate and express our solidarity with the Venezuelan people that went massively to the polls on July 28 to define their own future.

We continue with a lot of attention to the process of scrutiny of the votes, and we call on the electoral authorities of Venezuela to move forward expeditiously and give it to publicly available data disaggregated by voting table.

The disputes over the election process must be permitted by the institutional route. The fundamental principle of popular sovereignty should be respected by the unbiased check of the results.

In this context, we call on all political and social actors to exercise maximum caution and restraint in his demonstrations and public events in order to avoid an escalation of violent episodes.

Keep the social peace and protect human lives must be the priority concerns at this time.

This is the opportunity to express, once again, our absolute respect for the sovereignty of the will of the people of Venezuela. We reiterate our willingness to support the efforts of dialogue and the search for agreements that benefit the venezuelan people.

Trump’s attacks on Chinese cars strike a chord — with both parties

“Ohio knows all too well how China illegally subsidizes its companies, putting our workers out of jobs and undermining entire industries from steel to solar manufacturing,” Brown said in a statement. “We can’t wait for China to run this same playbook in the auto industry — we need strong rules, including but not limited to tariffs, to stop a flood of Chinese electric vehicles that threaten Ohio auto jobs.”

He said the average price gap between a Chinese vehicle and its U.S.-made counterpart ranges from 44 percent to 179 percent. “That is a massive gap,” the executive said. “Tariffs alone aren’t going to take care of that.”

Reuters: Mexico yields to US pressure on incentives for Chinese car makers

He said that such incentives have declined during the government led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who took office in late 2018, although they have been offered to large investors such as Audi.
