Ranting and Rereading Lenin’s “Left-Wing” Childishness

I could barely finish listening to this (Revolutionary Communist International, of which they’re part of, is a Trotskyite organization). China is supposedly imperialist because they export goods and provide loans to other countries through their Belt and Road Initiative for infrastructure. He also mentions that China has a military base in Djibouti (the U.S. has over 800). Does he get his information from Wikipedia? He sounds like the Trotskyite version of John Mearsheimer! This isn’t the first time that I’ve heard this argument, which is why I made the page “Is China Socialist Or Capitalist?” Say what you will about Vijay Prashad, but I share his sentiment. Worry about building socialism in your own country!

Anyway, I decided to reread Lenin’s “Left-Wing” Childishness and highlighted a few passages.

As Phyllis Chesler warned us in 1974, gender bias has accompanied psychiatric power throughout its history. Years later, in 2005, in the last annotated edition of Women and Madness , the author insisted on the persistence of this bias, which even today, 50 years later, seems to remain unchanged. Authors such as Ussher, Caplan, Margot Pujal and many others were situated in that same space. With their differences and nuances, they all converge on the same point: gender problems and discomforts produce deep suffering. This suffering leaves marks on our bodies and our behavior.

The NATO-backed government of President Volodymyr Zelensky has officially charged Ukrainian peace activist Yurii Sheliazhenko with “justification of Russian aggression.” After the country’s Security Service (SBU) raided his Kiev apartment earlier this month, Sheliazhenko has been interrogated and placed under nightly house arrest as he awaits prosecution.
