CPRF Statement: In Ukraine Russia is Fighting Neo-Nazism

Comments on the Article of the International Department of the CC KKE “On the Imperialist War in Ukraine and the Stance of the CPRF

On April 23, 2022 the newspaper Rizospastis, the organ of the Communist Party of Greece, carried an article by the International Department of the CC KKE “On the Imperialist War in Ukraine and the Stance of the CPRF.”

The article assesses the actions of the CPRF in connection with the special operation Russia is conducting in Ukraine openly accusing the party of having a pro-government, i.e. pro-imperialist position. We categorically disagree with this utilitarian assessment.

Censorship: Donbass Insider in the Crosshairs of Newsguard, an Agency Linked to the CIA, NATO and the White House

by Donbass Insider / March 30th, 2022

On 18 March 2022, I received a letter in my e-mail box from a certain Edward O’Reilly, an analyst for NewsGuard, a sort of international Decodex (which awards green or red stickers to news sites, i.e. justifies the censorship of such and such a site), linked to the CIA, NATO and the White House, concerning their analysis of the Donbass Insider site. After having sent them packing when they saw the obvious bias of this site, they insisted and sent me a week later a series of questions, which contradict each other, and written in such a way that one has the impression that the author is writing to a 10 year old girl. Since they are so keen to have me answer them, while giving themselves the right to publish only part of my answers in their analysis (as they indicate in their e-mail), I will do so publicly, so that all my readers can have the whole of the information, and not just the part that would suit NewsGuard.

Ukraine’s history and NATO’s role explained

March 14, 2022

There is a war in Ukraine. Outwardly, it looks like an armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine. All political forces, including Left, have spoken out about these events. The range of assessments: from humanistic-emotional (“people are dying, stop the war”) to purely class (“The West is pushing two oligarchic regimes”). In fact, this conflict has deep roots. When analyzing the situation, we must take into account both the national content of the class struggle and the class content of the national struggle.

Ukraine – from Euromaidan to Afghanistan

Recently, Douglas MacArthur, a retired colonel and adviser to the US Secretary of Defense in the Trump administration, a multi-decorated war veteran, openly criticized the official policy of Washington, which he said was deliberately trying to transform Ukraine into an Eastern European version of Afghanistan. It is common knowledge that for the United States, war is first and foremost a business, an opportunity to make good money on the long-running bloody conflicts that Washington is fueling worldwide with a global hybrid war against all disobedient nations and ethnic groups. As in all previous wars initiated or sponsored by the USA with the use of these perfidious tactics, Ukraine is also seen as a new great opportunity for the American military-industrial complex controlled by the deep state to make fabulous profits.
