NYT hypes China threat: They’re reading the internet

That Beijing is mining publicly available information is not new or surprising but fear mongering about it in Washington is good for business.

The Times was passing on findings from an analysis by threat intelligence company Recorded Future, which says a Chinese open-source intel company has been mining publicly available information from the Office of Net Assessment, a Pentagon think tank, and the U.S. Naval War College.

Ukraine’s security service has registered criminal proceedings against six “bloggers” in Kyiv who it alleges took photos and videos showing the country’s air defense systems at work during Tuesday’s Russian missile strike and posted them on social media.

I suggest Lira followers call their Chilean Embassy or Consulate to demand that Lira either be allowed his freedom or transported safely out of Ukraine.

Worth noting that Lira seems to be part of a more general enforcement of “Their Democracy”:

I love it that “glorification” can be a crime in Ukraine. We should do that!

Alina Lipp, an independent German journalist and blogger is facing a criminal probe at home over her “endorsement” of Russia’s “illegal aggressive war” against Ukraine. Lipp has told Russian media she only does what any journalist would do – document what is happening around her.

I deleted it because I have no longer have any enthusiasm for it. I once had an enthusiasm for studying the Orthodox Church and beliefs, but I have drifted away from that. I just don’t see myself as a religious person.

‘LibertyCat’ is still up, but it’s mainly for vaping nicotine, CBD use, gun rights, and Wisconsin updates. My politics have slowly changed, and I no longer see the Libertarian beliefs as being compatible with mine.

Oh, well.  At least I can hold my head up and say I didn’t deliberately sacrifice my vote for nothing more than the ephemeral dreams of a “global economy” and the “American exceptionalism” that the Hildebeast (Clinton) was incessantly touting, and which Trump consistently opposed.  That is why I chose Trump.  That, and the idea that countries actually do have borders that should not be open to every Guatemalan fruit picker who wants to suck the life out of the welfare teat.   At the very least, though, I did not want to have our country incinerated due to the hubris of a lunatic Commander in Chief.
