As Trump’s lame duck session draws to a close, Bannon needs friends in high places. The two counts of his indictment add up to a maximum 40-year sentence for conspiring to commit wire fraud and money laundering. That maximum will not occur, but it’s worth noting the kind of potential legal jeopardy involved in this matter. Bannon’s former attorneys asked to withdraw from the case after Bannon’s rant demanding Dr. Anthony Fauci and FBI Director Christopher Wray’s “heads on pikes” during Trump’s imaginary second term in office.

To ensure an orderly transition of representation and to prevent undue delay, the Government respectfully requests that the Court not permit defense counsel to withdraw until new counsel is retained and appears in this case on behalf of the defendant (or the defendant is appointed counsel after demonstrating eligibility by filing the required financial affidavit). In the absence of the appearance (or appointment) of new counsel that will represent the defendant throughout the pending proceedings and can assure the Court that no delay will be occasioned by the transition to new counsel, the Government would object to the withdrawal of counsel.
“We’ve removed several clusters of activity for using inauthentic behavior tactics to artificially boost how many people saw their content,” said Facebook spokesman Andy Stone. “That includes a Group that was originally named ‘Stop the Steal’ which later became ‘Gay Communists for Socialism’ [😂] and misled people about its purpose using deceptive tactics.”

Avaaz said some of the pages Facebook removed were also connected to Brian Kolfage, who, along with Bannon and two others, was indicted in August on federal charges of defrauding donors in an online campaign called “We Build the Wall.” Bannon, Kolfage and the other defendants have all pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The pages removed had names such as “Conservative Values,” “The Undefeated,” “We Build the Wall Inc,” “Citizens of the American Republic” and “Trump at War.”

The feds said that the disclosure of that information could “seriously jeopardize” the ongoing investigation. One reason why is that the application and affidavit contains “identities of individuals and entities that may be implicated in the investigation aside from the four charged defendants” and contains “details about the evidence collected in the investigation.”
