War Industry Looking Forward to “Multiyear Authority” in Ukraine

Gen. Mark Milley, chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, recently offered some matter-of-fact observations about the immense human suffering and death caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and placed the responsibility for ending the war squarely on Moscow’s shoulders. “There’s one guy that can stop it — and his name is Vladimir Putin,” Milley said. “He needs to stop it.”

But then Milley crossed what he most certainly never imagined to be a tripwire when he said, “And they need to get to the negotiating table.”

Russian Missiles Strike Ukrainian Infrastructure, Ukrainian Missiles Strike Polish Farm

Update on Russian military operations in and around Ukraine for November 16, 2022

– Russia continues its campaign targeting Ukrainian infrastructure with missiles and drones;

– The West has said since April Russia was running out of missiles, yet large-scale use of missiles continues;

– Russia is also now using long-range precision kamikaze drones meaning Russia appears to have a growing number of long-range precision weapons;

– During the recent barrage it appears at least 2 Ukrainian air defense missiles missed their targets and struck civilians in Poland;

– After claiming Russia is a threat to Europe, it is a terrible irony that Ukraine is responsible for the first strike on NATO territory since Russian operations began in late February;

AP reported, citing an unnamed US intelligence official, that Russian missiles crossed into Poland. The Pentagon then stated it “has no information” to corroborate such reports, adding that it is aware of the situation and would look further into it.

The Russian Defense Ministry denied any responsibility for the incident by saying that the nation’s military did not strike any targets near the Polish-Ukrainian border. It also branded the Polish media reports a “provocation.”
