As we all know John Bolton has played his role in fomenting coups. He admitted it the other day.

What should come as no surprise to my long term readership is John Bolton has Turkey in his sights. The attempted coup back in 2016 didn’t go as planned. So a “big gun” was needed

Speaking to Fox TV as the coup plot unfolded in Turkey on July 15, 2016, Bolton had then also did not shy away from exposing his appetite and support for coups. “I have no charity in my heart for Erdoğan, if he goes down I’m not shedding any tears,” he had then said during the televised interview. At this moment, President Joe Biden’s remarks ahead of his election to the White House should also come to mind. In a video clip recorded ahead of his election, Biden told the New York Times editorial board that the U.S. could support opposition elements in Turkey to change the tide of political developments.

Biden also implied he would involve the U.S. directly into domestic Turkish affairs.

“I’m still of the view that if we were to engage more directly like I was doing with them, that we can support those elements of the Turkish leadership that still exist and get more from them and embolden them to be able to take on and defeat Erdoğan. Not by a coup, not by a coup, but by the electoral process,” Biden had then said.

Evidence is emerging that at least some segments of the ongoing protests in Sri Lanka are funded and backed by the US, serving US interests. A “digital strategist” given credit by the Western media for the successful toppling of the Sri Lankan government was a “volunteer” at a US National Endowment for Democracy-funded “election” organization.

His group’s involvement in the current protests are a carbon copy of events that unfolded during the 2011 US-engineered “Arab Spring.”

The US has again asked the UN to condemn China’s human rights record. Our nervousness over this issue is increased by the scheduled reversion of Hong Kong to Chinese rule next year. The condemnation request has been accompanied by a barrage of media stor ies about China’s treatment of orphans, the Laogai prison system, the lack of political freedom and other issues. Observers of international political developments will recognize such stories as the standard accompaniment of operations by the CIA/NED to alter or overthrow target governments. The US corporate-owned media, in league with government agencies, orchestrate media coverage to demonize states in conflict with corporate plans. (Many of the media stories seem to be generated by the “privately funded” US-based Human Rights Watch/Asia). Once and if the Chinese government is changed and serves well the corporate state, even if any abuses multiply — we will hear no protest.

Comments on the Article of the International Department of the CC KKE “On the Imperialist War in Ukraine and the Stance of the CPRF”

On April 23, 2022 the newspaper Rizospastis, the organ of the Communist Party of Greece, carried an article by the International Department of the CC KKE “On the Imperialist War in Ukraine and the Stance of the CPRF.”

The article assesses the actions of the CPRF in connection with the special operation Russia is conducting in Ukraine openly accusing the party of having a pro-government, i.e. pro-imperialist position. We categorically disagree with this utilitarian assessment.
