The US attacked Iran because Israel was going to Strike

Rubio may be attempting to deflect negative attention away from the Trump administration. Also, does it matter? The US and Israel struck Iran first.

Judge Napolitano and John Mearsheimer

Posted for what Mearsheimer said about Turkey being Israel’s next target- Turkey has been the subject of an intense propaganda campaign of demonization to justify the next country Israel wants out of the way.

Laura Dogu and Washington’s Regime-Change Playbook: Nicaragua, Honduras, Venezuela

Laura Dogu’s appointment ultimately signals not innovation but continuity: a recalibration of tactics in pursuit of the same objective that has defined US policy toward the Bolivarian Revolution for decades – regime change through pressure, attrition, and delegitimization. Whether branded as “stabilization,” “economic recovery,” or “transition,” the underlying premise remains that Venezuela’s political future should be shaped in Washington, not Caracas.

Yet the record in Nicaragua, Honduras, and Venezuela itself suggests that external coercion has limits. Dogu’s mission will test not only Venezuela’s resilience but also the durability of the unremitting US strategy of Latin American interventions.

Germany’s Missile Range Decision: A Perilous Step Towards Global Conflict

Berlin, 26 May 2025 – In a chilling act of imperial hubris, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has declared that Germany, in lockstep with its NATO overlords, has unshackled the range restrictions on missiles supplied to Ukraine, greenlighting strikes deep into Russia’s heart. This brazen escalation, announced today, is no mere policy shift; it is a deliberate provocation, a reckless lunge towards a global conflagration that could sear humanity’s future. The West, cloaked in the sanctimonious rhetoric of “defending Ukraine,” is goading Russia into a corner, gambling with the lives of millions in a game of geopolitical brinkmanship.

The Antiwar Movement We Are Supposed to Forget

Visualize the movement against the Vietnam War. What do you see? Hippies with daisies in their long, unwashed hair yelling “Baby killers!” as they spit on clean-cut, bemedaled veterans just back from Vietnam? College students in tattered jeans (their pockets bulging with credit cards) staging a sit-in to avoid the draft? A mob of chanting demonstrators burning an American flag (maybe with a bra or two thrown in)? That’s what we’re supposed to see, and that’s what Americans today probably do see — if they visualize the antiwar movement at all.

Hegseth visits Manila: Washington prepares for war with China

The language of Hegseth’s press conference in Manila is indicative of the openly aggressive face of US imperialism under Trump. Gone was any reference to what had been the political shibboleth of Washington in the Asia Pacific region: the defense of “freedom of navigation.” Hegseth spoke rather of “preparing for war,” using the phrase more than once. Every time Hegseth mentioned China he termed it “Communist China,” and spoke of its “aggression.” Hegseth referred to US Seventh fleet commander Admiral Samuel Paparo “and his war plans. Real war plans.”
