Personal: Some updates

I’m slowly working on a follow-up to my previous post, Down the Rabbit Hole: Preface. It’s almost finished except for the screenshots and videos, which I have more to search for. I think that most of the videos are on my memory cards from my previous Android tablet.

I’m considering retiring this blog when my web hosting service plan expires in April. I’ve been feeling more physically worn out than usual. Posting drains a lot of energy from me. Even reading is exhausting anymore. Damn you, fibromyalgia!

I can barely keep my eyes open, so I’m going to bed early. Have a good night!

I knew nothing of Donbass or Palestine until after I started this blog. In fact, I was hesitant to blog about Palestine at first. It wasn’t until after I learned more about Islam that I started looking at the Middle East. Before that, I was into Christopher Hitchens and followed Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller. Charlie Kirk, from TP USA, and Michelle Malkin even followed me on Twitter. Now, I don’t care for any of them.

Senator Brian Schatz Joins The Moral Panic With Unconstitutional Age Verification Bill

Senator Brian Schatz is one of the more thoughtful Senators we have, and he and his staff have actually spent time talking to lots of experts in trying to craft bills regarding the internet. Unfortunately, it still seems like he still falls under the seductive sway of this or that moral panic, so when the bills actually come out, they’re perhaps more thoughtfully done than the moral panic bills of his colleagues, but they’re still destructive.

Bipartisan Senate bill would ban social media algorithms for minors

Senators Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Chris Murphy (D-Conn), Katie Britt (R-Ala) and Tom Cotton (R-Ark) introduced the Protecting Kids on Social Media Act on Wednesday. The bill would set a minimum age of 13 to use social media sites, and would require parental consent and age verification for users under 18.
