Belarus leader says he has been asked to seal a non-aggression pact with Ukraine

Lukashenko, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, disclosed the alleged offer to a meeting of government and law enforcement officials at which he also accused Ukraine – without evidence – of allowing its territory to be used by the West to train and arm militants who could destabilise the situation in Belarus.

The head of state noted that the West has not abandoned its plans for Belarus; Ukraine continues to train militants and extremists. “I don’t know why Ukraine needs this. On the one hand, they ask us not to send troops to Ukraine. They suggest a non-aggression pact. On the other hand, they are preparing this explosive mixture and arming them. Poland and Lithuania have taken leave of their wits whatsoever. Why are they acting like that? I don’t get it. Therefore, we are forced to react harshly. We have enough problems along the perimeter – both in the airspace and on the ground, the green border. We have enough problems there. Let’s hope we cope with all of them. We do not need internal problems. Therefore, the reaction to this internal opposition, which are more like extremists, like cockroaches crawling out of the woodwork, will be tough. They should consider themselves warned,” the Belarusian leader stressed.

Lukashenko demands individual approach to those who want to return to Belarus

In this regard, Aleksandr Lukashenko mentioned the Kastus Kalinovsky Regiment fighters in Ukraine and the units being formed in Lithuania and Poland. “The official authorities are trying to distance themselves from them. We are well aware of that. We see the whole picture. They send these fighters to the frontline telling them to practice their skills and after that to go to Belarus to overthrow the government, to create havoc there, to unleash a war. Recently, these fighters have come under fire at the front. Many died and many were permanently disabled. Who needs them today? No one does. President Zelensky will not ride them on the ice (the guy lost his leg fighting for his homeland. He would have lost the second leg if not for our doctors). But this is their choice. They must know that we will deal with them according to the laws of war,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

Musk Agrees to Restore Twitter Content-Moderation Tools This Week

Musk made the commitment during a Zoom meeting with the heads of some of the country’s leading racial justice organizations, including the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Color of Change, and the Anti-Defamation League.

Musk also asked the civil rights leaders to join his content-moderation council focused on handling speech and users on the platform, they said.

Eisenstadt, ADL’s vice president, said her group will likely accept the invitation, though several attendees said they will hold off until they get more information about what the council will look like, how it will operate and who else will serve on it.

“We want no Gestapo or Secret Police. FBI is tending in that direction.”—Harry Truman

With every passing day, the United States government borrows yet another leaf from Nazi Germany’s playbook: Secret police. Secret courts. Secret government agencies. Surveillance. Censorship. Intimidation. Harassment. Torture. Brutality. Widespread corruption. Entrapment. Indoctrination. Indefinite detention.

China faces an increase in extremist threats in central Asia, US panel is told

Raffaello Pantucci, a senior fellow at Singapore’s S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, said that the Islamic State Khorasan (Isis-K) had identified the perpetrator of the suicide bomb attack on worshippers in a mosque in the Afghan city of Kunduz in October as a Uygur.

US policymakers are paying more attention to the growth of China’s geopolitical influence through programmes like the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) – which includes the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) – as Washington’s relationship with Beijing has frayed on multiple fronts.

“It used to be the Uygur militants that tended to be responsible for attacks on Chinese diplomats or Chinese businessmen in Kyrgyzstan,” Pantucci added. “Increasingly we see Kyrgyz in general being quite angry towards the Chinese … and we can see similar narratives in Kazakhstan.”

Still, anger against Chinese does not mean that Americans are welcome, Jennifer Brick Murtazashvili, founding director at the University of Pittsburgh’s Centre for Governance and Markets, said.

“The US lost so much credibility because of the way it left Afghanistan,” she said. “Regardless of how you may feel about the intervention, regardless of how you may feel about the withdrawal of decision to withdraw the way the US left, I think it left a very bitter taste in the mouth of many people in the region.”

After all that work, instigating terrorists, they’re still not welcome back! Wonder why?! 🙄

Ukraine – from Euromaidan to Afghanistan

Recently, Douglas MacArthur, a retired colonel and adviser to the US Secretary of Defense in the Trump administration, a multi-decorated war veteran, openly criticized the official policy of Washington, which he said was deliberately trying to transform Ukraine into an Eastern European version of Afghanistan. It is common knowledge that for the United States, war is first and foremost a business, an opportunity to make good money on the long-running bloody conflicts that Washington is fueling worldwide with a global hybrid war against all disobedient nations and ethnic groups. As in all previous wars initiated or sponsored by the USA with the use of these perfidious tactics, Ukraine is also seen as a new great opportunity for the American military-industrial complex controlled by the deep state to make fabulous profits.
