The long simmering political crisis in Pakistan is now boiling over. Terrified that the campaign of ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan for immediate new elections could inadvertently precipitate an explosion of mass working class anger against brutal IMF-dictated austerity, soaring food prices and mass joblessness, the government and military are resorting to dictatorial forms of rule.

None of this is to say that there have never been executions or that there aren’t issues within the DPRK that need to be addressed. Those issues, however, should be addressed by the people of Korea and should not in any way be decided by western powers. That being said, there’s a pattern of disinformation here that everybody needs to be aware of. Western powers and media are consistently spreading lies about the DPRK among other places including Venezuela and China as a means of trying to build popular support for political and economic attacks as a means of instigating regime change. The US wants to create puppet governments and they will do try to do that in whatever way they see necessary.

On November 7, 2022, Global News reporter Sam Cooper published a report titled “Canadian intelligence warned PM Trudeau that China covertly funded 2019 election candidates: Sources”. Cooper has a problem though: on November 20, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau admitted that he was never briefed about supposed Chinese-funded election candidates, doesn’t know their names (if they even exist) and only learned of the alleged Chinese election interference from media reports.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem put on a bit of a performance this week by announcing that the state would be banning government employees from installing TikTok on their phones. The effort, according to the Governor, is supposed to counter the national security risk of TikTok sharing consumer data with the Chinese government:
