Daniel Guérin: Fascism and Big Business
The following article is an excerpt from Daniel Guerin’s book on Fascism, the English translation of which is soon to be released by Pioneer Publishers. It is a study of the roots and destiny of Fascism, at once so factual and so thoroughly Marxist in its approach, that no apology for giving it the widest possible publicity is necessary. – EDITORS.

For the record, I am not an anarchist; I simply have a deep love of quotes and like to look up their origins. My research often reveals that favorite sayings are frequently misattributed or heavily paraphrased.

The so-called “sexual revolution” that began in the 1960s and 1970s, hailed by bourgeois liberals and postmodern academics as a triumph of individual liberation and progressive reform, also became bound up with deeply reactionary phenomenon. From advancing the cause of human emancipation, it became a critical component of the broader social counterrevolution orchestrated by the ruling classes to undermine the potential of the working class. Still waiting on a proper critique from economists like Michael Roberts or Michael Hudson, but from what I’ve gathered so far, the “Miran Doctrine” is collapse choreography: pain for the working class, leverage for capital.
Marx saw this coming: the ruling class conjures up the ghosts of past ideologies to mask present-day extraction.
So here’s this DJ set of Madonna remixes—because I need an escape, and maybe you do too.
