Putin has been trying to breathe life into the Adana agreement for two years—an agreement between Damascus and Ankara struck in 1998 to maintain a buffer zone along the Turkish-Syrian border. Not only would it restore security ties between Syria and Turkey, but also stabilize the entire border area. Originally created to root out the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)—deemed a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and European Union—from Syria, the Adana agreement gives the Turks the right to enter up to five kilometers into Syrian territory in pursuit of the PKK.

Adana. The Adana Agreement- This has been talked about for longer then two years by Putin. Wonder how it is I’m aware of this fact? Why, I wrote about it more then once at my defunct blog. Have no fear, dear reader, I’m going to set to work digging up those old reports and drag them here. Because this is where they belong and this old agreement between Syria and Turkey may come into play? Depends on UsraelKurds of course. As well as France, Germany and others.

This information is nothing less than a debunking of seven years of Ukrainian propaganda, which claims that Ukraine is fighting Russia in the Donbass.

The Syrian Kurds ,so called, have always been largely PKK terrorists. Most of them with their roots in Turkey. But they’ve had help from Armenians and Uighurs. Backed by the US and friends. The PKK has always functioned as a proxy for western powers. And kind of stay behind army. Deployed to always keep Turkey in check.

With Joe Biden apparently poised to be America’s next president, Scott talks to Dave DeCamp about some possible foreign policy changes under the new administration. To begin with, DeCamp worries that Biden will use a recent uptick in violence as an excuse to keep American troops in Afghanistan indefinitely, basically the strategy he advocated as Vice President. On Israel, DeCamp says that Biden was known as one of the strongest zionists in Washington until Trump showed up, and so we can expect very little positive change on that front either. Finally, Scott and DeCamp discuss the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh and its implications for the rest of the world.
