US, China on Collision Course Over Taiwan
Scott Ritter
Chinese officials have made it clear that their “One China” policy regarding Taiwan is founded on a constitutionally mandated principle of so-called “peaceful reunification.” War, Chinese officials say, is a measure of last resort, only to be employed to prevent the fact of Taiwan’s secession from China, or when possibilities for peaceful reunification have been completely exhausted. But current US policies on Taiwan appear designed to push China to the brink, raising the prospect of armed conflict.

By endangering the petrodollar, Ukraine conflict brings multipolar world & U.S. revolution far closer
The U.S. empire’s social stability can no longer rely on buying off the workers within its own borders. When Che Guevara observed that international worker solidarity gets undermined by the proletarians in the core imperialist countries receiving special benefits compared to the proletarians in the exploited countries, he was right. But with the contraction of capital, and the consequential introduction of neoliberalism to keep capital afloat, this has changed. Every year, the masses within the United States face conditions that are more like the ones in the Global South. The global wealth gap is still the primary wealth gap in a macro sense, but this widening of the U.S. empire’s internal inequality represents a contradiction which can bring about the empire’s defeat from within. And therefore a major step towards eliminating the global gap.

China’s Pacific Islands Position Paper Debunks Fake News Claims
The Chinese Foreign Ministry released a position paper on the country’s relations with the ten Pacific Island Countries (PICs) that have diplomatic relations with Beijing. It comes as Foreign Minister Wang Yi wraps up his regional sojourn that saw him interacting with many of his counterparts and their other representatives. His trip was decried by American, Australian, and other Western media as supposedly signaling some sort of imperialist intentions on China’s part, yet the position paper debunks all of that.

Ukraine Says It Might Use US Weapons to Invade Russia
In order to understand this matter, some fundamental background must first be briefly presented, and it is this (the remainder of this paragraph). Ukraine’s Government has consistently promised that it will retake Crimea, which had been part of Russia during 1783 – 1954 when the Soviet leader Khrushchev then transferred it to Ukraine, and which subsequently broke away from Ukraine in 2014 to rejoin Russia. Russia has re established its sovereignty there, after a 2014 referendum in Crimea showed over 90% support by voters for Russia to do so. That’s the background.

U.S. empire seeks to use Ukraine to destabilize Eurasia, in the model of how it destroyed Yugoslavia

The U.S. empire has a playbook for balkanizing countries. It inflames ethnic tensions by fabricating atrocity stories, and spreading them around in the areas where it wants conflict to arise. To do this, it singles out an ethnic group (represented by a vilified government) and paints it as a perpetrator of genocide. It backs terrorist groups to fight against the demonized government, or installs leaders that will fulfill Washington’s goals for proxy warfare, or both. It provokes the targeted country into responding, then imposes sanctions on the country. It uses “humanitarian” narratives to give the region’s breakup the illusion of having occurred organically, and of having been done in response to human rights abuses or war crimes supposedly committed by the target.
