Suspicions arise as Sweden ‘shuns’ formal joint investigation of Nord Stream leak
Journalist Ali Abunimah commented that Sweden’s refusal to take part in such a joint exercise suggests that its administration knows Moscow did not sabotage its own pipeline.
He wrote in a post on Twitter: “Could there be clearer confirmation they know it wasn’t Russia?”
TRT Reporter Ali Mustafa also quested whether this meant Sweden had information which suggested the US was behind the Nord Stream destruction.
Russia’s TASS News Service released photos on Tuesday of a NATO Seafox mine disposal unmanned underwater drone was found during a scheduled visual inspection of the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline in November 2015.

The UK Ministry of Defence awarded a contract to Ultra Electronics and ATLAS in January 2006 to procure SeaFox UUV for the Royal Navy’s Hunt class and Sandown class MCM vessels.
