White House aides reportedly stepped in to keep Trump from calling for $2,000 stimulus checks, fearing it could torpedo relief negotiations

President Donald Trump was talked out of calling for $2,000 direct payments to Americans because it might’ve derailed fragile relief talks between Republicans and Democrats, The Washington Post reported.

Civil war between MAGA, GOP establishment could hand Dems total control

Make no mistake: President Trump continually telling Georgians that their votes were manipulated or tossed to benefit President-elect Joe Biden could potentially make the difference between a Republican-controlled Senate and a Democratic-controlled Senate. Attorneys Sidney Powell and Lin Wood, whose calls for boycotting Georgia next month over alleged voter fraud have resulted in heavy blowback from the Republican old and current guard, are also throwing kerosene on the fire. Polls show a razor-thin advantage for Democrat Raphael Warnock over Kelly Loeffler, while Jon Ossoff and Sonny Perdue are deadlocked, respectively. If just enough Republican voters stay home, it will be easy to discern why that occurred.

So According to Some Democrats, the Left are Terrorists?

Not even a month after he was elected, Joe Biden has already proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is no such thing as pushing someone like him to the left after he’s already taken power, and the liberals who insisted it was possible have in interest in even trying. I am not at all surprised that Joe Biden’s cabinet is shaping up to be even worse than I imagined it would be, but to be called “terrorists” for doing nothing more than using our steadily growing organizing abilities and leverage in a last ditch effort to demand better is something that will stay with me for a long time.

‘A win for the establishment and a loss for progressives’ — analysts react to Yellen as Biden’s Treasury secretary

— “Janet Yellen’s nomination to be Treasury Secretary is a win for the establishment and a loss for progressives and modern monetary theory proponents. So far, the Biden team is mostly establishment types, which should ease the concerns of investors who feared a more leftward tilt. Although we were skeptical that Mr. Biden was going to pick Sen. Elizabeth Warren for the Treasury job, that risk has been completely removed for now.” — Brian Gardner, chief Washington policy strategist at Stifel.

— “She is well within the orthodoxy of the economics community, and I suspect that fact along with her familiarity will lead to a largely positive response from financial markets. More broadly, from what we have seen so far, Biden appears to be mainly choosing old Democratic hands to fill his most vital Cabinet and White House posts, people from the Obama (and in some cases, even the Clinton) years. Progressives had hoped to wield major influence in the next administration, but if Biden’s personnel choices so far are any indication, he intends to govern more from what constitutes the middle of the Democratic Party today than to push the envelope far to the left.” — Stephen Stanley, chief economist at Amherst Pierpont.

Is this the most important election ever?

Warrantless surveillance of every citizen. An international network of torture houses beyond the reach of domestic law. Mass round-ups of Arab, Muslim and South Asian men. Indefinite detention of immigrants. Law enforcement given the power to search houses without the occupant’s knowledge. Authorising the use of the military in the case of domestic unrest during an epidemic. The construction of a southern border barrier to stop refugees and undocumented migrants entering the country. An executive empowered to declare anyone an enemy of the state and order their assassination. The abandonment of an international treaty to limit carbon emissions and reduce the threat of global warming. The creation of mercenary armies and the unleashing of religious zealotry. Electoral fraud resulting in a stolen presidential election.

Why Liberals Hate Poor White Trash

But it would be insufficient to suggest that liberals only hate white trash because they vote for Republicans. The term “liberal,” in the popular imagination, has become synonymous with upper-middle-class white urbanites, a stereotype borne out by statistics. They are a well-educated cohort—widely-read enough to understand the problems with society and capitalism but too insecure in their position to do anything that might challenge the system that has brought them relative benefit—and therefore enjoy programs which give the surface-level appearance of progress and equality. This explains their support for means-tested social programs, LGBT rights, the importation of cheap labor (under the guise of diversity), their veganism, and—most recently—their frankly fetishistic fixation on the concept of white privilege, completely devoid of any class analysis whatsoever.

Democrats Go All-Out for Israel

Democrats Go All-Out for Israel

Israel for its part has played its cards carefully. It knows that either Biden or Trump will do whatever it wants, but it has deferred its planned annexation of much of the Palestinian West Bank, which will now take place after the election. It did that knowing that otherwise some liberals in the Democratic Party might try to turn Israel into an issue and split the Jewish community while also alienating Jewish donors and some Jewish voters if the annexation had taken place. After November 3rd, no matter who wins Israel will benefit and will have a free hand to do anything it wishes to the Palestinians. Or perhaps one should say the “remaining Palestinians” until they are all gone.
