I am a normal person writing about normal things

Hello, I’m a normal person who writes about normal things. Nothing that might cause suspicion towards me. My politics aren’t controversial at all-in fact, I barely pay attention to politics. I’m writing on Medium so that I can help cultivate the nice, inoffensive, liberal blogging environment which Medium’s Trust & Support team appears to prefer. They may have censored me for my more controversial political articles a few times before, but those conflicts are in the past. I’m done being a troublemaker! And I certainly wouldn’t write a potentially censor-risky article on my own blog. Nor would I link my Medium readers to such an article. See this link? Don’t click on it! For goodness sake, didn’t I say I’m a normal person who’s done making trouble? The last thing it would link to is an article that gives communist revolutionaries specific instructions on how to overthrow their government. I’m a very normal person.

This leftist complicity in Washington’s Syria operations is more than a lucky development for the imperialists. Like every other part of the Syria narrative, it’s been engineered. The demonization of Assad and the omission of Washington’s crimes has come from numerous left-oriented figures, from popular journalists like Amy Goodman to political artists like Molly Crabapple to public intellectuals like Noam Chomsky (who outright supports U.S. military involvement in Syria based on his desire to advance the establishment of a Kurdish ethnostate). Ironically, the man who wrote a book about how the U.S. manufactures consent has been helping with the consent manufacturing effort when it comes to Syria.

This plan started with the vision for settler-colonial development that was laid out nearly a century ago by the World Zionist Organization. The colonists wanted to create a Jewish state that consisted not just of historic Palestine, but of southern Lebanon, Syria’s Golan Heights, and the land that stretches between Jordan and the Gulf of Aqaba to the south. The most ambitious colonization plans envisioned an absorption of southern Turkey, the land around the Nile, and the land around the Euphrates. Such a state would encompass land from Egypt to the easternmost stretch of Iraq.

America is being destabilized in a similar way to how the Soviet Union was destabilized. Except for the U.S., the process of collapse is more dramatic due to its severe lack of an adequate social safety net. Neoliberal economic deterioration, oligarchic government corruption, and out-of-control military spending have reduced the U.S. to an increasingly unstable rogue state with rapidly declining global influence.
