James Bradley on the Lies Americans Are Fed About China

James Bradley on the Lies Americans Are Fed About China

Scott is joined by author James Bradley. They discuss how foolish the Russiagate story was from the beginning before getting into China. Bradley explains how the entire American understanding of China is flawed. That the average American’s perception of China is the result of a mirage or fictional narrative we’ve been fed for many decades. Bradley argues that no rational look at China makes them out to be the threat they’re portrayed to be. And that, instead, the greatest threat comes from the American aggression that results from these false stories.

“Stain of the Century?” An Investigation of Uyghur Genocide Allegations Ep. 173

Transcript: “Stain of the Century?” An Investigation of Uyghur Genocide Allegations Ep. 173

In the midst of the United States’ renewed great power competition with Russia and China, the western foreign policy establishment has launched a sustained propaganda campaign to steel the American public into supporting international confrontation with China. A large facet of this broader campaign is the allegation that China is actively committing genocide against the Uyghur Muslims, a Turkic ethnic minority living in the nations westernmost province of Xinjiang. Despite the dubious credibility of the evidence supporting this claim and its US State Department origins, the establishment and “alternative” media have pushed these allegations as fact. This investigation documents the sources of this evidence, exposes its credibility issues, and examines those who are pushing it as truth, focusing on alternative media darling Tim Pool.

Dave DeCamp on the Foreign Policy of a Biden Administration

With Joe Biden apparently poised to be America’s next president, Scott talks to Dave DeCamp about some possible foreign policy changes under the new administration. To begin with, DeCamp worries that Biden will use a recent uptick in violence as an excuse to keep American troops in Afghanistan indefinitely, basically the strategy he advocated as Vice President. On Israel, DeCamp says that Biden was known as one of the strongest zionists in Washington until Trump showed up, and so we can expect very little positive change on that front either. Finally, Scott and DeCamp discuss the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh and its implications for the rest of the world.

How empire is destroying the American republic

Many American hawks fail to grasp one of the most axiomatic rules of history: when a republic becomes an empire, it is no longer a republic.

For all their concern about spreading democracy abroad, many hawks show a decidedly noticeable failure to recognize that imperial adventures weaken republican government at home. The devolution from republic to empire has a number of causes, some practical and some cultural, with most on display in our current politics.
