The November elections will likely give Republicans control of the House of Representatives as a platform from which to oppose the Democratic-controlled White House. And one thing Republicans will do with this power, in all probability, will be to try to provoke a crisis in order to extort Democrats into accepting spending cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

The largest national defense budget in the world just got larger. The burning of people in the Trade Union House in Odessa became a bitter symbol of the anti-people intentions of those who sought power. A course was taken to sever ties with Russia, to segregate the Russian population. The response of the residents of Crimea and Sevastopol was their return to their native harbor. The population of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts followed the path of independence. Bandera’s attempts to “pacify” the DNR and LNR resulted in many thousands of casualties.
