Read More »From Brexit to Bannon’s failed Movement, the through‑line has always been fragmentation: dismantling the European Union into smaller, more pliable states that Washington could manage one‑by‑one. Where Bannon faltered, Heritage has stepped in — not only with slogans, but with policy machinery designed to export Trump’s nationalist agenda across the Atlantic.

Although a century has passed since Coudenhove-Kalergi’s pan Europa was founded, the same principles are shaping the contours of our current age. Just as vast systemic crises threatening the lives of the majority of souls living on our planet press ominously against our future as they had a century ago, similar techniques of controlled opposition and games within games are used by the same oligarchical class who have orchestrated the current state of affairs. Many good people whose hearts are too large and understanding too shallow have already gotten absorbed into false narratives that frame those mortal enemies of the West as either Russia or China, while ignoring the causal hand of those same oligarchical agencies seeking to reduce all sovereign nations and cultures to rubble under a new Crusade.

Article was “fact-checked” by me. Everything checked out, except that Nina Rosenwald founded the Gatestone Institute. Although, Rebekah Mercer was on the Board of Governors.
FACTSHEET: GATESTONE INSTITUTE (archived)
In 2016, Gatestone partnered with The Rebel, a Canadian media company “with a history of bigotry and anti-Semitism,” to produce a series of 12 “cross-branded videos.” The videos feature “misinformation expert” Daniel Pipes and Geert Wilders, and promote “paranoid, apocalyptic far-right themes vilifying Muslims and refugees.” A 2017 article in The Independent, found that Gatestone was one of two “US right-wing foundations” that have sponsored Wilders’ trips to America.

Between 2014-2016, the Mercer family foundation, run by Rebekah Mercer, contributed $250,000 to Gatestone. In April 2017, journalist Eli Clifton revealed that “Mercer had been listed as a member of the board of governors” of Institute. “In many ways, Brazil’s movement is actually far more advanced than we are in the United States,” Bannon tells Bloomberg. He views Brazil as being among a handful of countries where Trumpist political forces could herald a global revival of right-wing nationalism—an outcome he’s actively promoting. “In 2016, the Brexit win in June was inextricably linked to Trump’s upset victory in November,” he says. “Bolsonaro’s heavyweight title fight against Lula next October,” as well as the showdown in France between President Emmanuel Macron and his far-right challenger, Marine Le Pen, “will set the stage for the American midterm elections,” Bannon says. Many U.S. political experts expect Republicans to retake the House of Representatives in November 2022.
