Niger’s Junta Revokes Military Agreement With US

“The US presence on the territory of the Republic of Niger is illegal and violates all the constitutional and democratic rules which would require the sovereign people… to be consulted on the installation of a foreign army on its territory,” Niger’s military spokesperson Col Amadou Abdramane said in a damning statement on national television.

He also alleged that the US delegation had accused Niger of making a secret deal to supply uranium to Iran. Col Abdramane described the accusation as “cynical” and “reminiscent of the second Iraq war”.

And finally, he suggested that the US had raised objections about the allies that Niger had chosen. “The government of Niger therefore strongly denounces the condescending attitude combined with the threat of reprisals by the head of the American delegation against the government and the people of Niger,” Col Abdramane said.

On Venezuelan President Maduro’s re-election in 2018: expect similar lies if he wins in 2024

Thanks to everyone for making this event happen. I’ll get right into it. As we get closer to Venezuela’s presidential election in 2024, we should anticipate the western media deploying the same general tactics they used to disparage Maduro’s electoral victory in 2018. I’m not predicting that Maduro is going to win again (as I hope he does), but, if he does win, we can anticipate that the same general propaganda tactics will be used – with some variations of course for the changed situation that exists in Venezuela and around the world since 2018.

Multiple Reports: Hamas Warned Israel Prior to Oct. 7 Attack

The scholar Ilan Pappé noted in a recent talk, given after the Oct. 7 attack, that of central importance for all the Palestinians “has been the political prisoners” — with Israel holding many Palestinians without charge while, Pappé notes, the PA was “doing nothing”. He notes, Hamas “warned Israel…we will not sit idle as long as the political prisoners are not going to be released…we will do all we can to abduct Israeli soldiers and citizens so we have something to deal with in order to deal with the most important thing for our society, which are the political prisoners.” Many thanks to Decensored News for video.
