The vice president has evoked a steady stream of face palm reactions at home and abroad in response to a series of foreign policy gaffes, from her praise for the US alliance “with the Republic of North Korea,” to her cringe-worthy “Ukraine is a country in Europe” explanation of the Ukrainian security crisis.

Call of Duty is a Government Psyop: These Documents Prove It
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has been available for less than three weeks, but it is already making waves. Breaking records, within ten days, the first-person military shooter video game earned more than $1 billion in revenue. Yet it has also been shrouded in controversy, not least because missions include assassinating an Iranian general clearly based on Qassem Soleimani, a statesman and military leader slain by the Trump administration in 2020, and a level where players must shoot “drug traffickers” attempting to cross the U.S./Mexico border.

Ukraine won’t let journalists into Kherson amid fears of civilian shootings
Ukraine is not allowing journalists into the settlements that have come under Ukrainian control in Kherson in recent days. The Ukrainian journalist and blogger Anatoly Shary reports on shootings and fears that the media lockout serves to cover up war crimes.
…
Earlier, Shariy reported that the Ukrainian army began repression against residents of the region immediately after its invasion. According to his information, 20 people suspected of “collaborating” with Russia were shot dead in the settlement of Snigirevka. On Friday morning he wrote:
“In Snigirevka, which had been quietly defended recently and had in fact quietly surrendered, 20 Russian collaborators were killed, according to the Russian military.
I’m skeptical about the number. I think there are a lot more.”

“Everyone who worked with the Russians and couldn’t leave Kherson, and that’s thousands, if not tens of thousands, is finished.

People who try to report on the war in Ukraine from the Russian side or who try to provide humanitarian aid to those in need in the new Russian territories are excluded from public discourse. Freedom of speech and freedom of the press are becoming hollow concepts. In the future, anyone who says something that looks like a “playing down of Russian war crimes” can be punished for “incitement of the people” according to a legislative amendment passed by the Bundestag in summary proceedings on Thursday. Scott is joined by Patrick MacFarlane, the Justin Raimondo Fellow at the Libertarian Institute, to discuss an article he wrote recently as well as the new direction he’s taking his podcast Vital Dissent. Scott and MacFarlane first dig into the growing tension between Washington and Beijing over Taiwan’s sovereignty. MacFarlane points out that some of the best opposition to both the policies that provoked Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and NATO’s subsequent response is from populist right-wingers. But those very same people throw all their logic out the window when the topic turns from Russia to China.
