The prospect of four more years of Trump was what decided this election. It was the overriding imperative of those who cast their votes for Biden. Corporate and establishment Democrats expect their left-wing critics to vote for them every four years without question or negotiation. This expectation is almost always delivered as more of a threat than an ask. And when Democrats lose, they blame the left. Yet election after election shows that when they do win, elite Democrats do not believe that they have to offer any meaningful national security appointments or policy changes to these voters. History shows us that they are much more interested in finding common ground with the violent imperial visions of right-wingers and neoconservatives. And Joe Biden is indeed the perfect figure to drive that reality home.

These fingerprints, used in place of signatures, indicated the immigrants’ consent to initiate deportation proceedings and waive their rights to further immigration hearings. Three people provided firsthand accounts of the violent tactics ICE officers used to obtain their prints, including pepper-spraying detainees almost to the point of suffocation, breaking their fingers, and subjecting them to further physical mistreatment in unmonitored rooms. A joint complaint filed by FFI and the Southern Poverty Law Center cites eight cases of forced signatures or fingerprints on stipulated orders of removal, as well as several instances of violence.

All of this is being pushed by American corporate media, but it is now joined by RT via Malzberg and his guest Justin Danhof, the general counsel for the “conservative” National Center for Public Policy Research. The NCPPR is “dedicated to providing free market solutions to today’s public policy problems.” In other words, it is a right-wing think tank.

I’ve noticed that RT has been publishing more right-wing propaganda since they’ve been made to register as a foreign agent. As if they’re now required to, or something.
