In the more than eight years of bombing the civilians of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Ukraine has committed untold numbers of war crimes. These include bombing residential areas, markets, hospitals, schools, parks—including with prohibited heavy weapons and banned cluster munitions—and, since late July, raining banned “Petal” mines down on populated civilian areas, including the very center of Donetsk, including as recently as September 7.

The US declared Iran a participant in the war in Ukraine
Colonel Cassad, Oct 21 2022 10:55
The declaration of Iran as a country that participates in the war in Ukraine, of course, is a reflection of the double standards of the US, because in fact the US accuses Iran of supplying weapons to Russia, and Russia uses them. Moreover, accusations are brought by a country that openly supplies weapons to Ukraine, and these weapons are also used for strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation. We do not even consider the very fact of participation of the US military and intelligence services in the fighting in Ukraine. The Americans declare that they are not a party to the conflict, do not participate and do not want to participate in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.

EU foreign ministers pledge to train 15,000 Ukrainian troops for war with Russia
Yesterday, European Union (EU) foreign ministers met at a summit in Luxembourg and pledged a massive escalation of their participation in the NATO war on Russia in Ukraine. This decision confirms that EU countries are at war with Russia and, by the admission of top EU officials, raises the danger of direct military conflict between EU states and Russia.

New $1.1 Billion Arms Package for Ukraine Includes 18 HIMARS Launchers
The HIMARS that the US has been sending to Ukraine are equipped with missiles that have a range of about 50 miles. But that can change, and Kyiv is requesting Army Tactical Missile Systems, which have a range of 190 miles, but Washington has been hesitant to send the longer-range missiles. Russia has warned that providing such arms would cross a “red line.”

The U.S. and Europe are running out of weapons to send to Ukraine
In the U.S. weapons industry, the normal production level for artillery rounds for the 155 millimeter howitzer — a long-range heavy artillery weapon currently used on the battlefields of Ukraine — is about 30,000 rounds per year in peacetime.
The Ukrainian soldiers fighting invading Russian forces go through that amount in roughly two weeks.

Is the U.S. ability to defend itself at risk?
The short answer: no.
…
The U.S. has essentially run out of the 155 mm howitzers [M777?] to give to Ukraine; to send any more, it would have to dip into its own stocks reserved for U.S. military units that use them for training and readiness. But that’s a no-go for the Pentagon, military analysts say, meaning the supplies reserved for U.S. operations are highly unlikely to be affected.

2 Turkish banks suspend Russian Mir payments after US sanctions: report
Turkish Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati at the time called concerns over the letter “meaningless.” In April, he said Russian tourists — critical to Turkey’s beleaguered economy — could easily make payments since the Mir system was growing among Turkey’s banks.

After the two private lenders suspended Mir, it is still operated by state lenders Halkbank (HALKB.IS), Vakıfbank (VAKBN.IS) and Ziraat.

2019 RAND Paper Warned US of Failure During Ukraine Conflict
Sep 1, 2022 As far back as 2019, US Army-commissioned studies examined different means to provoke and antagonize Russia who they acknowledged sought to avoid conflict. However, they also warned that if Russia was pushed too far, it could trigger an escalation that would spiral out of Washington’s control. Today we are watching this conflict unfold. Just how accurate was the study’s predictions?

The United States may secretly transfer a number of weapons to Ukraine
The US authorities may not publicly announce the transfer of certain types of weapons to Ukraine as part of military assistance. About it writes Politico.
…
The new military aid package for Kyiv, announced last week, includes Excalibur guided artillery shells, according to two Politico sources. At the same time, they are not mentioned in the Pentagon’s official statement on weapons supplied to Ukraine.
Politico also read the official notice to Congress in connection with the allocation of another aid package to Ukraine, which, according to the newspaper, notes that the weapons supplied by Washington to Kyiv “are not limited” to those listed.
