On December 24, 2022, a first volley of rockets, likely 122 mm, strike downtown Kherson at 11:00 am, local time. The shelling resumes later that day. No military target there, cars and passersby are hit. The Ukrainian police and army release the same set of half a dozen cruel photos. The announcement was so shocking that the figures were subsequently removed from the official announcement on the European Commission’s website and from the video version of the statement. Germany criticizes U.S. for charging high gas prices

“Some countries, even the friendly ones, are charging astronomical prices in some cases. Of course, this brings problems that we must talk about,” Habeck told the Neue Osnabruecker Zeitung (NOZ) newspaper.

“The United States turned to us when oil prices soared, and the national oil reserves were tapped in Europe as well,” Habeck said. “I think such solidarity would also be good for curbing gas prices.”
