On an October 24 earnings call, RTX Corporation CEO Greg Hayes said that the defense contractor stood to “benefit” from a US Department of Defense’s budget increase which would fund the supply of weapons to Israel and the restocking of weapons in Ukraine.

In Ukraine, the US leads its European allies in supplying weapons, ammunition and economic assistance to the Ukrainian government against Russian forces. And now, in the Middle East, the US is the primary sponsor of Israel as it disproportionately responds to the raids carried out by Hamas on October 7.

China’s stance on war is very clear, in fact, it could not be more clear. In every conflict on the globe China calls for peaceful resolution and dialogue to resolve differences rather than force. A recently released White Paper, on the White Paper, on the Belt and Road Initiative, emphasised this calling for global peace, security and safety. China is nothing, if not consistent in this.

Law & Justice turned Poland into a rogue state on a par with Viktor Orban’s Hungary. The Polish government clashed with the EU over rule of law, control of the media and funding, all while weaponizing LGBTQ issues and women’s rights. Support for Ukraine brought Warsaw into line with its main EU partners, but even there the mood has soured after Warsaw imposed restrictions on Ukrainian grain and suggested it might stop weapons shipments.
