CPRF Statement: In Ukraine Russia is Fighting Neo-Nazism
Comments on the Article of the International Department of the CC KKE “On the Imperialist War in Ukraine and the Stance of the CPRF”
On April 23, 2022 the newspaper Rizospastis, the organ of the Communist Party of Greece, carried an article by the International Department of the CC KKE “On the Imperialist War in Ukraine and the Stance of the CPRF.”
The article assesses the actions of the CPRF in connection with the special operation Russia is conducting in Ukraine openly accusing the party of having a pro-government, i.e. pro-imperialist position. We categorically disagree with this utilitarian assessment.

No, Biden Can’t Just Sell Off Seized Russian Yachts and Central Bank Assets to Help Aid Ukraine – International Law and the US Constitution Forbid It

Yves here. It is instructive to see that a law professor who served as an expert witness for Naftogaz, the Ukrainian national oil and gas company, after Russia seixed its operations in Crimea, is concerned enough about the prospect of the Biden Administration selling confiscated Russian assets to speak up and advise against it.
However, I have my doubts that the US has been as scrupulous about not selling assets of sanctioned and belligerent nations as Professor Stephan suggests. Iraq owned a magnificent, very wide townhouse on East 80th Street between Park and Lexington as its embassy. It was promptly seized after the war started and sold within a couple of years. I sincerely doubt the proceeds were remitted to the new government.

Ukraine: The American Tyranny Of Power
The first thing these evil ruling oligarchs want is property, and the best way to drive prices down is to start a war, like they did in Vietnam, and in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen and the entire Middle East where people are fleeing the war zones. As soon as this happens, land prices go down and the corporate privateers sweep in.

The control of scientific and technological information is just as important as the control of words and language, any intellectual information that is written or spoken. All the internet hypertext language is routed through the supercomputer processors of the CIA in Langley, Virginia. Vladimir Putin recently said that the Internet was a CIA special project. He was right.

Political West mulls reshaping UN and what’s left of international law
By Drago Bosnic | April 27, 2022
In order to understand the prelude to World War 2, one cannot ignore the failures of the long-defunct League of Nations, which was a UN-like structure aimed at being a forum of countries resolving disputes through dialogue rather than war. Although just another noble idea before World War 1, in the immediate aftermath of the sheer death and destruction resulting from that conflict, it became an urgent necessity. The League of Nations was supposed to make sure nothing of sorts ever happened again.
