June 2024 YouTube Stats

I gained one subscriber, recently. 🎉

The Constellation-class frigate clip is still one of my most popular ones.

I only have one regular commenter…lol.

Google Docs is me. I’ve never been to the websites listed until today, outside of Google and Facebook (I haven’t used FB in over a month). The bottom three are in Romania. I wouldn’t know how to find out which exact videos were used unless I searched for the titles, and there’s too many to search for.

US State Department, YouTube Unveil Global Music Alliance

US State Department, YouTube Unveil Global Music Alliance

U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken and YouTube’s Global Head of Music Lyor Cohen announced today a new Department of State-YouTube partnership in support of the Department’s Global Music Diplomacy Initiative, a worldwide effort to elevate music as a diplomatic platform to promote peace and democracy in support of the United States’ broader foreign policy goals. At the core of the partnership is a roster of U.S. Global Music Ambassadors, which builds on the legacy of the iconic Jazz Ambassadors of the 1950s and 1960s and promotes peace across generations of people worldwide.

In addition to the new U.S. Global Music Ambassadors, the Department and YouTube will join efforts to enhance English language learning through music and across the YouTube platform. This new partnership will support opportunity and equity in the creative economy through in-country engagements with audiences and aspiring creators – beginning in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, and India. It will offer micro-grants to State Department exchange program alumni around the world who use music as a means to expand access to education, economic opportunity and equity, and inclusion. And it will raise even greater awareness and inspire action globally around the unifying power of music, during global moments, such as the G20 meetings in Brazil later this year.

Interesting sci-fi allegories for Hamas

I’m not even subscribed to Darksnovia, but this showed up in my recommendations. I don’t know enough about Star Trek or Gundam to comment. I’m more interested in the Star Wars comparison, anyway.

Star Wars: Rebel Alliance

In the Star Wars universe, the Rebel insurgency conducts covert operations on Imperial garrison worlds, utilizing a stateless strategy in conjunction with wolfpack-guerrilla warfare against the Imperial fleet throughout the galaxy. Capital ships are portrayed as having no place in the Rebellion, as they are described as expensive to build, maintain, and to keep fully crewed. The Rebellion is portrayed as far too limited in both manpower and resources to justify putting so much of both into a giant target. The Galactic Empire, on the other hand, is portrayed as capable of always fielding greater numbers and greater firepower. Being able to hit high-valued targets and get out is therefore depicted as being much more important to the Empire. While the Empire labels all dissenters and rebels as extremists and terrorists in Imperial propaganda, the Alliance is depicted and portrayed in various Star Wars media as a group of resilient freedom fighters, based on tolerance, self-empowerment, and hope for a better future using insurgency weapons and tactics.

Denial of service attacks, still. Why?

My WordPress still gets attacked, despite my visitors being practically null. As you can see, my visitors have declined by 50% since the attacks started happening. Whoever is doing it has succeeded, but I suppose they aren’t going to stop until my visitors are at zero. FYI, I don’t count the views because most of those are probably mine when I double-check the site or search for a previous post. I’ll admit that it’s discouraged me from posting. Most of the work that I’ve been doing is on YouTube (or Rumble) and working on Google Docs. I need to transfer some documents to my pages soon. Anyway, I appreciate those of you who continue to read my posts! Welcome to my new followers, as well!

It’s interesting, to me, that people are finding my WordPress site via Baidu and Yandex.

The IP has changed but it’s still WordPress’ Automattic.
