Just as I anticipated, the blame is being directed at China. Marco Rubio, currently serving in the Trump administration, has previously targeted various leftist organizations for their funding connections to Neville Roy Singham, who has been accused of having ties to the Communist Party of China. These allegations originated from front groups linked to Stratfor, often referred to as the “Shadow CIA,” as well as the State Department and U.S. Intelligence. Additionally, the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) receives backing from the Israel lobby. Recall my previous post about Project Esther, which linked antisemitism to Marxism. Expect a crackdown on leftists and other antiwar activists who are protesting the Gaza war.
Who is Elias Rodriguez? Suspected D.C. shooter from Chicago (archived)
Rodriguez possibly had ties to extremist organizations
Rodriguez is also believed to have an affiliation with the Answer Coalition, a group that fights against racism and war with organizing centers in cities and towns across the country.
The 30-year-old also had a brief association with the Party for Socialism and Liberation. The PSL said they have not associated with Rodriguez for seven years.
In 2017, Rodriguez attended a protest in honor of the anniversary of the death of Laquan McDonald, who was fatally shot by a Chicago police officer. The protest was also against Amazon.
Rodriguez set up GoFundMe for event he was trying to attend
Rodriguez, years ago, set up a GoFundMe to travel to Washington, D.C., to attend the People’s Congress of Resistance, NewsNation’s Alex Caprariello learned.
His mission was to put an end to imperialist war, which at the time, Congress had vested interests in expanding.

According to a report by Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), both PSL and ANSWER leaders have ties to foreign governments, including China, Iran, and Russia. The report states that ANSWER operates under the fiscal sponsorship of the Progress Unity Fund (PUF), which has financial and personnel ties to Neville Roy Singham, a pro-CCP financier in Shanghai.
RUBIO PROBES FUNDING FOR ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROMOTE CCP AGENDA IN THE U.S.
According to the New York Times, many progressive organizations have received funding from Neville Roy Singham, a leftist U.S. citizen who lives in Shanghai and has ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Yet, none of the entities tied to Singham have registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). The U.S. must enforce its laws more fiercely in the face of foreign adversaries who abuse our open system to advance their malign interests.

Speculation about Mr. Singham first emerged on Twitter among self-described anti-fascists. Reports followed in the publication New Lines and the South African investigative outlet amaBhungane. The authorities in India raided a news organization tied to Mr. Singham during a crackdown on the press, accusing it of having ties to the Chinese government but offering no proof.
Network Contagion Research Institute
In a report published by the Disruption Network Institute, Jack Poulson documents that corporate records and tax filings indicate that in 2021, the Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC) paid $335,000 to the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI).
Joel Finkelstein, the founder of NCRI, is a former research fellow at the Anti-Defamation League Center on Extremism and a board member of Hetz, a discreet Israeli organization opposing the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. Other Hetz board members include Brigadier General (res.) Sima Vaknin-Gill, former chief censor of the Israeli military and founder of Voices of Israel, and previously unreported U.S. venture capitalist David M. Magerman.
In a public lecture on May 13, 2022, Hetz CEO Eran Teboul stated that the organization has privately raised funds for NCRI, during an event hosted by the Norwegian nonprofit Med Israel for fred (MIFF).[20]
The leadership of Newlines Institute includes former US State Department officials, US military advisors, intelligence professionals who previously worked for the “shadow CIA” private spying firm, Stratfor, and a collection of interventionist ideologues. Its contributors represent a who’s who of Syria regime changers who cheerleaded for US military interventionism while intimidating and bullying any prominent figure that dared present a critical perspective on the proxy war.
AmaBhungane supporters (Known front organizations: Omidyar Network/Luminate, Committee to Protect Journalists, Open Society Foundation for South Africa, etc.)
In 2012 the founder and managing partner of amaBhungane, Sam Sole, was named in a document of the private intelligence firm Stratfor as one of their sources in South Africa. The spreadsheet was leaked as part of the Wikileaks Global Intelligence Files. Sole never publicly commented on the leak but his editor Nic Dawes, who was also named as having met Stratfor analyst Mark Schroeder, denied that the newspaper Mail and Guardian had ‘made a deal’ with Stratfor and that Sole “met Mr Schroeder briefly at a public debate in Pietermaritzburg July 2008 and has had no further contact with him”.
